Christmas Eve Celebration and Homeless Shelter Dinner

We just had our annual Christmas eve celebration at the Hope Center in Bishkek! Thank you so much to everyone who donated. We were able to bless so many children this year.

The celebration had 3 parts. First we answered any questions that the attendees had about Christmas, then we showed a Christmas movie and handed out the gifts, and at the end we all shared a meal.

You gave above and beyond for our Christmas eve celebration, so we were able to use the extra funds for an additional Christmas project.

Christmas day we we served 60 homeless people at a shelter in Bishkek. These people live on the street but now because of the winter weather, the city brought them to this shelter. Every one of them has a story of how they lost everything and became addicted and homeless on the street. And every one of their lives has value and worth. In these pictures you can see a small snapshot into who they are.

The shelter did not have enough coal and wood for heating or food, and so we did what we could to help them. We provided dinner for all 60. They were very happy and thankful that we could serve them.

Thank you for giving to those who cannot give anything in return.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Source of Compassion Team!
