Amantor’s Story

Amantor has been diagnosed with Down syndrome; he is 10 years old. His father died in 2017 in a car accident from traumatic brain injury. Since then, he is living with his mother, now a widow, and 2 older siblings.

They live on government benefits, including survivor benefits, child’s pension, and a child caregiver salary. All the benefits are minimal. Money was catastrophically insufficient—there was only enough for rent and a little for food. There was not enough for clothing or other necessities.

With the support from our sponsorship program, will have help with frequent rehabilitation sessions with a speech therapist, sensory integration, and developmental activities. They constantly need to help him develop so that he can take care of himself in everyday life, and maybe one day he will learn to speak and receive help for other medical needs.

Our sponsorship program brings help and hope to Amantor’s family. Some of their financial burden is lifted, and Amantor can look focus and look forward to a brighter future.
